One of the few things I learned in humanities last semester. Even before learning about this, I taught myself to always tell my parents the truth, especially when it came to going out. I never lied about where I’m going and who I’m going with.
They probably would have said yes if I asked to “hang out” with my friends on Wednesday. And yes, I would have hung out with my friends on Wednesday. But because of my truthful demeanor, I told them where I would be going and of course they said no.
So this Wednesday, instead of going to Daly City to visit one of my dear friends, I will be stuck at home, probably burning up in my room reading Harry Potter. Honesty is the best policy, but it has its disadvantages sometimes.
